Can you believe 2023 is coming to an end? It’s been a busy year, with so many events that we organized and many more we attended. We are so proud we continued to support the regional startup ecosystem, and we promise we won’t stop here. We have big plans for 2024, so keep an eye on us to see the news just at the beginning of the new year.
Looking back, 2023 was like a blink of an eye, capturing the beauty of it all but passing so fast. So, we want to take a moment and look at everything we offered to our community during the last 12 months.
• We gathered for two Investors Days events, where we gathered over 300 startups, investors, and entrepreneurs together. If you want to feel the vibes of the two events, take a look at our photo albums here and here.
• We launched the AI MAP Report, Romanian, and SEE 2023 edition in partnership with Google for Startups, covering insights from Q2 2022 to Q2 2023. You can still get a copy on our website.
• We organized 7 editions of our RO AI Alliance events with amazing guests, gathering a community of 5000+ AI enthusiasts in Bucharest, Cluj, Timisoara, Iasi, and Chisinau.
• We also supported the Founders Club series of events by ROTSA in Bucharest, Cluj, Iasi, and Timisoara, bringing the founders into the spotlight. We gathered a community of 2400+ founders.
• We ended another successful #AdvancingAI program! The third edition founders pitched their ideas during our Investors Day event in May.
• We organized Scale Match #8, an edition focused on AI and Saas Solutions, matching the founders with investors and corporate partners.
• We were part of the National Pavilion at WebSummit 2023 in Lisbon. We also organized the Startup PowerBreakfast on Softlanding in Portugal and Iberia with/ locals in Lisbon, and the Startup PowerLunch on Investment Readiness with Indico Capital Partners, EU.VC & STARTUP LISBOA, at the Startup Lisboa Pavilion.
• We are part of the organizing team of the Acceleraction project, connecting Deep Tech innovators across Europe.
• We are also involved in the CoInvestin project, which aims to enhance access to funding in less-developed EU ecosystems by attracting foreign investors able to co-invest with local VCs and support growth-stage companies.
• We promoted in Romania and Bulgaria the EIT Digital Venture Program 2023, the pre-accelerator program lasting two months dedicated to entrepreneurial teams with digital deep tech business plans from the Baltics, Eastern Europe, and Southern Europe (a total of 22 countries).
• We organized the Demo Day event for the Startup Reaktor program alongside ROTSA. Startup Reaktor is the incubation platform created to connect hundreds of early-stage tech startups, scaleups, investors, accelerators, corporate networks, universities, and the media from CEE.
• We started a #MeetOurCommunity series to empower the tech startup founders. Check our Instagram account for goodies.
