Who are we?

We are The Highlanders – a community that wants to connect Diaspora mentors with Romanian tech founders who want to extend globally, so as to contribute to the expansion of the Romanian tech ecosystem in the world.

Why?

We are convinced that Romania is full of talented and ambitious tech entrepreneurs and is home to some of the best tech startups in the world.

However, when the founders want to scale their startup it is very difficult for them to expand beyond their borders. After having a scalable product/service this is their biggest struggle.

Who can become a mentor?

Have you already been living abroad for a few years? Or maybe you were born there. Maybe you’re a freelancer lawyer, a marketing & communication specialist or a business development consultant. Or perhaps you are an entrepreneur well based in Diaspora who wants to contribute to some great idea or even an investor who wants to invest in a product or solution.
